Chippewa County Crime Stoppers Holds New Logo Contest, Asks Students To Enter | Chippewa Valley News

CHIPPEWA COUNTY (WQOW) – Students in Chippewa County have the opportunity to show off their creative artistic skills and win an award in the process.

Crime Stoppers, which began as part of the Take a Stand Against Meth campaign, is looking for a Chippewa County student to create their new logo.

Images must be at least three inches by three inches and include the words “Chippewa County and Crime Stoppers”. In addition, they must be positive and community-oriented, showing how law enforcement is helping the community.

There are three age groups competing: Kindergarten to Grade 4, Grades 5 to 8, and Grades 9 to 12. The best submission in each age group will receive a $ 25 gift card. The first prize winner will receive a $ 100 gift card and the logo will become the official logo of Chippewa County Crime Stoppers.

“We really wanted to include the youth of the community in this whole process to involve them and educate them on the prevention side,” said Rose Baier, director of the Chippewa County Criminal Justice Department. “Crime Stoppers also has a youth component within the school system, so as it grows we can expand into that.”

The registration deadline is January 14. You can send your applications by email to [email protected]

You can mail or drop submissions between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at this address: Office of the Criminal Justice Department, 711 North Bridge Street, Room 221, Chippewa Falls WI 54729.

Officials ask participants to include this form in this story with their entry:
