Metro Denver Crime Stoppers: Ruben Castillo, 22, killed in the 40th and Chambers

DENVER (KDVR) – It has been nearly two weeks since a Denver man was shot dead at a popular intersection, and there are still few leads.
Denver Police said Ruben Castillo, 22, was in a Ford F-250 truck on the night of October 8 when he was shot dead at East 40th Avenue and Chambers Road.
According to police, Castillo, from Aurora, was shot dead by a person in another vehicle.
Flowers and candles still mark the spot where this vehicle stopped after the attack.
Detectives say they’re looking for a brown sedan, but they don’t have much to do.
“It’s more frustrating for me and his family,” says Jasmine, who is Castillo’s girlfriend. “Because we don’t know who he is and we want justice served for him, because it’s not fair for this guy to live his life, to do it, while my boyfriend is in hiding.”
To help with the costs, the family established a GoFundMe account.
Anyone with information about this crime is urged to contact Denver Metro Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 (STOP). Tipsters can remain anonymous and earn a reward of up to $ 2,000.
