MPs arrest a fugitive accused of stealing a car in Greene County.

SPRINGFIELD, Missouri (KY3) –

Misty Dawn Andrus was incarcerated in Christian County Jail on January 1, 2022 and then transferred to Greene County Jail.(Greene County Sheriff’s Office)

Christian County MPs arrested a fugitive to start the New Year. They booked Misty Dawn Andrus at Ozark Prison on January 1, 2022. The 41-year-old was then transferred to Greene County where she appeared in court this morning.

Andrus is charged with auto theft and faces half a dozen drug possession charges. KY3 introduced her as a fugitive from Crime Stoppers in mid-December. Andrus is scheduled to attend a pre-trial conference in late April.

Springfield Police need your help in locating a woman wanted on half a dozen drug charges. Misty Dawn Andrus is also charged in Greene County with auto theft. The detective said the 41-year-old could be linked to break-ins and thefts.

Andrus is around 5′03 ″ and weighs 135 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes. If you’ve seen this woman, call Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477). There is a cash reward of up to $ 1,000 for information leading to his arrest.
