Vancouver PD, Crime Stoppers seek help in solving August homicide
VANCOUVER Wash. (KPTV) – The Vancouver Police Department and Oregon Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help in solving the August murder of Tyler Harris.
Harris, 19, was found dead of a gunshot wound Aug. 29 in the 3500 block of NE 50th Court in Vancouver. According to officers, a resident of the compound Harris lived in heard a strange noise, quickly calling authorities after seeing Harris lying in the doorway of his home.
Surveillance video later revealed that two women and a man were knocking on Harris’ door just before the fatal gunshot. The three suspects then fled.
Crime Stoppers of Oregon released descriptions of the suspects in the hope that an anonymous witness or informant could provide information.
One woman is described as wearing dark colored leggings with a red and white “Fila” on the side.
The other women wore dark-colored leggings that hit just below the knee, a dark-colored hoodie with a white front print that looked like “Washington State” with a “cougar” logo underneath, and black shoes on a white background.
The man wore distinctive Nike shoes which were white and black on the front but orange and yellow on the back.
Crime Stoppers of Oregon offers cash rewards of up to $2,500 cash for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in any unsolved crime and tipsters can remain anonymous.
